We get asked all the time, “What is taking one of your cooking classes like?” “Do I get to cook?” “Do I get to try the food?”  Instead of just sharing a generic FAQ, we thought the best way to answer your questions to give you a sneak peak into one of our classes. Particularly, one of our most popular classes, The Art of Sushi, where we teach students the basics of Japanese classics including miso soup, tempura, & sushi rolls.  And we are excited to be offering our public classes and working with Inspire Artistic Minds at their IAM Culinary Center at Le Gourmet Kitchen in Orange, CA.

Our students work in small groups to tackle each of the classes recipes together.  That means you will make every recipe we cover in class from beginning to end.  Instead of tackling just one recipe on your own, the whole class works at the same pace to make sure you understand every dish that we share with you.

This miso soup is almost done.  All there is left to do now is to ladle it into our bowls and enjoy.  Our students are always so surprised how delicious their miso soup taste.  Just like their favorite Japanese restaurant if not better.  Seriously!

Another recipe we tackle in this class is one of our favorites, cucumber tsunomono.  It’s refreshing, tasty, and above all, easy to recreate at home.  It’s a great side dish to serve alongside your sushi rolls when you’re showing off your new skills with your friends and family.

Check out that roll! Can you believe one of our students made that.  We don’t mean to brag, but this was their first time making sushi.  Looks pretty darn close to perfect if you ask us.  The best part of every class is you get to eat the food you make and lots of it.
